Representing clients in Chatham County, North Carolina in 1991, owner Patrick O’Neal was asked by an executive client to locate a five acre homesite for his family. The client’s wishes didn’t seem too difficult; he wanted a home on a large lot in a country style community, away from the hustle and bustle of his work life, but not too far from city conveniences. This was actually something Pat wanted for his own family, so he was quite happy to assist… However, he came up short in his search. Communities of that description just didn’t exist at the time. Instead of trying to convince the client that he needed to look for another setting for his family, Pat and his wife Tina opened the doors to The Real Estate Company and its sister company, Chatham Development Corporation. Patrick and Tina started the company with a desire to create and market country style master planned communities in close proximity to schools, shopping, and work centers. Neighborhoods with underground utilities and lots of privacy.
Since those days in the early ‘90s, The Real Estate Company has become known for assisting individuals and families in the Triangle area in finding just the right homesite and builder to meet specific needs, and working in partnership with clients to make dreams become reality. Triangle communities they have marketed include Chapel View Farms, Ferrell’s Creek, Heritage Pointe, Markham Plantation, Thompson Creek, Weaver Crossing, Wendy Hill, Willow Bend, Hardscrabble Plantation and the Triangle’s award winning community The Hills of Rosemont.
The Real Estate Company today continues the tradition of consulting with developers to meet the varying needs of families in the Triangle. As a result of Patrick’s familiarity of the Triangle, ability to find desirable land, and put together excellent builder teams, The Real Estate Company has found great success in the marketing of county lifestyle communities easily accessible to urban conveniences. With this pulse on the Triangle, history has proven that the properties marketed by The Real Estate Company sell out very quickly. Carolina Crossings is the newest community with marketing underway by The Real Estate Company. With only 26 homesites in this exclusive Chatham County community, the chance to be a part of it won’t last long.
